Week Four- Webquest
Some thoughts about Webquests
This reading mainly focused on webquests and gave a basic over of them. It explained the a webquest is an inquiry-oriented activity, where most if not all of the information allows the students to interact and answer the overall question. It explains that the webquest must have an introduction, that sets the scene. A task that is doable and engaging. Some information that helps the students to complete the task. A description of how to complete the task that the students can understand. There needs to be some level of guidance so the students can organise and acquire the appropriate information. FInally a conclusion that sums and closes the webquest.
I feel that webquest makeslearning fun and interesting for the students. They are engaged and determined to answer the questions and complete the task. It is hands on and attracts the students.
The question is the answer
This takes about the importance of having good questions. Questions should allow students to spend time researching. Questions should allow students to use original thought. Today answering should not just be a simple finding and gathering activity.
